Federation Military Training


Grunt Training: There is a grunt training camp in every region. Training lasts one month(or 64 days of 32 hours ).
The Daily schedule consists of:
1st watch-30 minute meal, Drill for 3.5 hours
2nd watch-Physical training
3rd watch-Instructional Class
4th watch-Combat training
5th watch-30 minute meal, Soldier training
6th-8th watches-sleep, always 4 recruits on guard duty.
There is one Instructional Class assigned for each day of the week, making 8 classes of 8 sessions each. The last day of the class there is a written test. The schedule of classes in the week is Religion:Day 1; Reading:Day 2; Arithmetic:Day 3; Astronomy:Day 4; Survival:Day 5; Smithing:Day 6; Government: Day 7; Magical Combat:Day 8
To graduate grunt training the recruit must pass through an ordeal with 9 other recruits which will test combat skills with the mace, and against an enemy magic user, basic smithing by forging their own mace, marching coordination as a squad, and foraging and survival skills. If the recruit fails to pass the ordeal or any of the written tests they must go begin grunt again. If the recruit unsuccessfully attends grunt training 3 times, he is expelled from the Army.
The Skills gained as a result of graduating Grunt training are:
Military 1:March 5, Soldier 5
Club 1:Mace 5
Knowledge 1:Religion 2, Astronomy 2, Government 2, Magical Combat 2
Literacy 1: Reading 2
Mathematics 1:Arithmetic 2
Survival 1: Forage 2
Weapon Smith 1: Mace 3
An additional +1 to Mass, and +1 to Stamina

Shock Training: A Grunt must pass a physical(strength of 4 or more) test to be eligible for shock training. The shock training camp is in the mountain district. Training lasts 5 weeks(40 days).
The Daily schedule consists of:
1st watch-30 minute meal, Crossbow training for 3.5 hours
2nd watch-Drill for 1 hour, large weapon training for 3 hours
3rd watch-30 minute meal, Combat training
4th watch-Battle training
5th watch-30 minute meal, weapon training for 2 hours, battle training for 1 hour.
6th-8th watches-sleep, always 4 recruits on guard duty.
The grunt must choose one large weapon to specialize in., the options are: great axe, short spear, long spear, pike, glaive, halberd, bill, zweihander, claymore or other large swords.
The Skills gained as a result of graduating Grunt training are:
Military +1:March +2, Soldier +2
1 Large weapon of choice: Broad skill=1, Specific skill=5
Combat 1:Combat Armor 3, Hold the Line 3, Reckless Offense 3
Control 1:Discipline 3, Endurance 3, Resist Pain 3, Vigor 3
Crossbow 1:Hand Drawn 4
The Grunt must pass a proficiency test at the end of training with their chosen weapon in order to graduate.

Elite Training: To be eligible for elite training a soldier must have passed through basic and shock training first. The elite training camp is in the mountain district. Training lasts 4 weeks(32 days). 
The Daily schedule consists of:
1st watch-30 minute meal, Ranged weapon training for 3.5 hours
2nd watch-Officer training
3rd watch-30 minute meal, Use Device training
4th watch-Melee weapon training
5th watch-30 minute meal, officer training for 1.5 hours, melee weapon training for 2 hours.
6th-8th watches-sleep, always 4 recruits on guard duty.
The soldier must choose one ranged weapon and two other melee weapons to specialize in.
The Skills gained as a result of graduating Grunt training are:
Military +1:Ambush 3, Infantry Tactics 3, Ranged Tactics 3, Stategy 3
1 Ranged weapon of choice: Broad skill=1, Specific skill=4
2 Melee weapons of choice: Broad skill=1, specific skill=4 each
Observation 1:Use Device 4
The soldier must pass a proficiency test at the end of training with their chosen weapons and a written tactical test in order to graduate.

mountain training: a soldier must have passed through basic traing before applying for this.
